How to obtain and use the UIT code

Check if the shipment is in scope
e-Transport covers certain goods categories and shipments (including, increasingly, international transport and goods with fiscal risk). Check whether your goods and route fall under the obligation.
Declare the shipment and get the UIT before departure
The shipment data (sender, recipient, goods, carrier, route) is declared in e-Transport and the system returns the UIT code. The UIT must be obtained before the goods start moving.
Accompany the goods with a valid UIT
The UIT code must accompany the transport and be valid for the declared period. In a check, a missing, wrong or expired UIT draws penalties.
