In WinMentor, a gestiune (inventory unit) is the logical storage unit for stock. It can be physical (warehouse, retail store) or logical (custody, third-party stock). Each item can exist across multiple inventory units with different quantities.
Types of inventory units
1. Goods inventory (most common) - classic warehouse, standard receiving (NIR) + invoicing, valuation using the configured method (FIFO/weighted average).
2. Retail inventory (shop) - B2C sales, prices including VAT, stock reduction via fiscal receipts.
3. Custody inventory - goods received in custody from a supplier (not owned by your company).
4. Raw materials / finished goods inventory (production), for manufacturing companies.
