Charisma Connector — Azuvio on top of Charisma ERP, without touching accounting or financial modules
Native bidirectional integration between the Azuvio Smart Operations Layer and Charisma ERP (TotalSoft) — via official SOAP/REST Web Services and direct integration with the Charisma business logic layer. Partners, items, orders, invoices, goods receipts and payments synced in <2 min. Charisma stays the master for accounting and reporting; Azuvio adds multi-channel OMS, retailer EDI, mobile WMS, SFA and a B2B portal — the operations that are rigid or costly to customize in Charisma.
Why Charisma alone is no longer enough in 2026
Charisma ERP (TotalSoft) is a mature platform used by enterprise companies in distribution, manufacturing, retail and utilities across Romania and SE Europe. Accounting, financial modules, production planning, tax reporting and audit run reliably — once parameterized, Charisma becomes the business's financial backbone and you don't want to touch it.
The problem shows up in day-to-day operations: multi-channel order orchestration (eMAG, Amazon, your own eCom, international marketplaces), EDI with Auchan/Lidl/Carrefour/Metro, offline-first mobile field reps, scanner WMS with FEFO and pharma lots, self-service B2B portal for hundreds of customers. Standard Charisma handles none of these elegantly. Customizations through TotalSoft partners cost months and significant per-release fees. Bolt-on modules raise the master system's complexity.
Azuvio fills exactly that gap: it runs on top of Charisma as a Smart Operations Layer through a native connector that uses official SOAP/REST Web Services and, when appropriate, direct integration with Charisma's business logic layer. Day-to-day operations happen in Azuvio; Charisma receives exactly what it needs — partners, items, orders, invoices, goods receipts, payments — clean and reconcilable, with no manual errors. The Charisma finance team doesn't change anything. You add new capabilities in weeks, not quarters.
What the Azuvio Charisma connector does
8 native capabilities, included in the standard product — no separate modules, no per-call billing.
- Bidirectional partner sync — Customers and suppliers flow between Charisma and Azuvio CRM with automatic matching on tax ID. A new lead converted in Azuvio becomes a partner in Charisma with an ANAF-validated tax ID; a partner edited in Charisma appears in Azuvio in <2 min.
- Items + price structures sync — Item master (code, name, UoM, groups, attributes, standard prices, per-customer/per-channel price structures) published from Charisma to Azuvio. Or the reverse — new SKUs from eCom/OMS written back to Charisma with rule-based code generation.
- Orders: Azuvio → Charisma — Orders captured via OMS (EDI, marketplace, eCom, B2B portal, SFA, phone) automatically written into Charisma with the right partner, items, customer price structure, commercial and delivery terms. Status returned on changes.
- Invoices: Azuvio ↔ Charisma — An invoice issued in Azuvio (at WMS dispatch) is written into Charisma for accounting. Or the reverse — invoices issued in Charisma synced to Azuvio for tracking. e-Invoicing handled by whichever side suits you.
- Synced multi-warehouse master stock — Master stock stays where it lives (Charisma WM or Azuvio WMS — your choice). Event-driven sync or at interval (5–15 min). Buffers, multi-warehouse allocations, per-order reservations, FBE/FBA, inter-warehouse transfers.
- Goods receipts on scanner — Goods receipt auto-created in Charisma when goods are received in Azuvio WMS with barcode, photos on discrepancies, lot/expiry. PO → receipt → supplier invoice reconciliation runs automatically and is visible in Charisma.
- Incoming payments + auto-matching — Payments from POS, eCom and Azuvio AR collection written into Charisma with automatic invoice ↔ payment matching. Bank reconciliation becomes 2x faster, audit-ready.
- Multi-company + multi-division — Supports enterprise scenarios with multiple Charisma companies (subsidiaries, divisions, countries) — Azuvio maps partner/item/order to the correct company, respecting different currencies and charts of accounts.
Native Azuvio connector vs TotalSoft partner development vs iPaaS middleware
Same Charisma integration, three different approaches — wildly different cost, time and risk.
| Aspect | Native Azuvio connector | TotalSoft partner development | Third-party middleware (iPaaS) |
|---|
| Time to first flow in production | 3–6 weeks | 4–9 months | 6–12 weeks |
| Implementation cost | Included in Azuvio subscription | Tens of thousands € (Charisma consultants) | Medium-large (iPaaS licenses + integrator) |
| Maintenance after Charisma update | Included — we update it | Paid again on each version | Paid separately per mapping |
| Operations covered (OMS, EDI, WMS, SFA, B2B) | All, native | Only if you pay for each separately | Data transport only, no UI/UX |
| Client-side skill required | None — you use Azuvio UI | Coordination with TotalSoft partner | Internal iPaaS team |
| Risk to existing Charisma | Zero — only official APIs | High — modifies the master system | Low-medium (depends on mapping) |
| Multi-company support | Native | Re-done per company | Must be mapped per flow |
| Marketplace, EDI, eCom, SFA connectors | Included (ships with Azuvio) | Built separately from scratch | Built separately on iPaaS |
Implementing the Azuvio Charisma connector — 6 steps
Typically 4–6 weeks from kick-off to first flow in production, depending on catalog complexity and number of flows.
- Kick-off + Charisma audit — Charisma version, active modules (FI, MM, SD, CRM, WM), partner count, item count, multi-company, existing customizations. We agree which Azuvio modules connect in phase one (usually: partners + items + orders).
- Technical access + credentials — Enable Charisma Web Services with a dedicated user and minimal rights on partners + items + orders + invoices + goods receipts + payments. Connectivity test, latency measurement, rate-limiting agreement.
- Partner + items + chart of accounts mapping — Field mapping Azuvio ↔ Charisma: tax ID, internal partner code, VAT payer, payment terms, price structures. Same for items: code, name, UoM, group, attributes, price. Chart of accounts mapping for invoices and payments. Documentation delivered.
- Initial history sync + dry-run — Import partners + items + price structures from Charisma into Azuvio. Dry-run for orders: we push 10 test orders from Azuvio into Charisma and validate. Any missing mapping is fixed before pilot.
- 2–3 week parallel pilot — Two to three weeks running Azuvio and Charisma in parallel on a limited segment (one channel, one category, one warehouse). Your team validates daily. Tuning. Operations team training.
- Go-live + first-week monitoring — Connector enabled across all flows. Proactive monitoring for 7 days with alert on any error > 0. Daily checkpoint with your team. Full handover to Azuvio support with an agreed SLA.
Real problems solved by the Azuvio Charisma connector
- Problem: Orders from eMAG/Amazon/eCom are entered manually into Charisma by 2–3 operators (4–6 person-hours/day wasted), with pricing and partner errors. Azuvio + Charisma solution: Azuvio OMS captures orders from all channels and writes them automatically into Charisma with the right partner, items and customer price. Operators become exception handlers, not data entry clerks.
- Problem: EDI with Auchan/Lidl/Carrefour/Metro/Mega Image runs on a legacy system not connected to Charisma — ORDERS on Excel, DESADV/INVOIC manual, delays and fines. Azuvio + Charisma solution: Azuvio EDIconnect (live since 2014, certified with RO retailers) receives ORDERS, writes them into Charisma as orders, generates DESADV on dispatch and INVOIC on invoicing. Zero manual steps, 100% compliance.
- Problem: Field reps across multi-county territories use different phones; orders are transcribed the next day into Charisma — 24h lag, errors, stock conflicts. Azuvio + Charisma solution: Azuvio SFA offline-first mobile with Charisma sync: the rep sees live stock, the correct customer price, writes the order directly. Zero lag, uniform team UX.
- Problem: Scanner goods receipt happens on separate hardware; the Charisma NIR is entered 1–2 days later with discrepancies. Azuvio + Charisma solution: Azuvio WMS on mobile scanner: receipt via barcode, photo on discrepancies, lot/expiry. Goods receipt generated automatically in Charisma within seconds, with photo attached.
- Problem: B2B customers constantly call for stock, price, status — sales team answers manually from Charisma, burning time and frustrating customers. Azuvio + Charisma solution: Azuvio B2B Portal connects to Charisma: the customer sees live stock, their own price, orders, invoices, payments, recurring orders. Inbound calls drop 60–80% in 90 days.
What Azuvio on top of Charisma looks like in practice
Built by Azuvio (2014–present, team with 200+ implementations in distribution, retail and manufacturing). The scenarios below are representative — typical combinations of the challenges we solve.
- Enterprise distributor on Charisma + 8 warehouses + 120 field reps — Charisma for consolidated accounting and WM, but rep and eCom orders were transcribed manually. Added Azuvio SFA + OMS + Charisma connector: orders flow automatically into Charisma on the correct warehouse. Representative result: 5 FTEs freed from manual ops, lag from 24h to 0.
- Industrial manufacturer on Charisma + 4 companies + EDI Auchan/Lidl — Charisma for multi-company consolidated ledger, but EDI with retailers on a separate legacy system. Added Azuvio EDI + Charisma connector: retailer ORDERS written instantly into Charisma on the correct company, DESADV/INVOIC generated automatically. 100% compliance, zero fines.
- Omnichannel retailer on Charisma + 25 stores + eMAG/Amazon — Charisma for centralized multi-store inventory, but eCom/marketplace on a separate system. Oversell and chaotic returns. Added Azuvio OMS + WMS + Charisma connector: stock unified live across stores + eCom + marketplaces, returns in one flow.
Technical & operational details for the Charisma connector
Supported Charisma versions
Charisma ERP (TotalSoft) — all recent versions with active SOAP/REST Web Services. For older versions or custom deployments we use direct integration with the Charisma business logic layer or an XML import/export mechanism. RO and SE Europe localizations fully covered.
APIs and protocols used
Official Charisma SOAP/REST Web Services for all major objects (partners, items, orders, invoices, goods receipts, payments). Event-driven webhook where the version supports it (push instead of polling). Custom calls for specific Charisma procedures when needed.
Security and compliance
VPN/IPsec connection to the client's Charisma server, or direct HTTPS when cloud. Dedicated Charisma user with minimal rights per company. Full logging for audit. GDPR-compliant. Contabo backups, Prometheus + Grafana monitoring.
Performance and rate limiting
Configurable per client and per company. Default: 15 calls/sec on Web Services. Exponential retry on transient errors, dead-letter queue on permanent errors with alert. Event-driven webhook where Charisma supports it, configurable polling otherwise.
Typical flows and volumes
An enterprise client runs roughly 10,000–30,000 messages/day through the connector (partners, items, orders, invoices, payments). A large multi-company client can reach 100,000+ messages/day at peak. The k8s pod-per-tenant architecture supports horizontal scaling without limits.
Gradual migration vs big-bang
Standard recommendation: do not enable all flows at once. Start with partner + item sync (read-only, zero risk), then add orders after a 2–3 week pilot, then invoices and payments. Dramatically reduces risk on the master system.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the Charisma connector affect my existing Charisma performance?
- No. We use official Web Services with rate limiting calibrated to your instance's load. At kick-off we measure latency and volume, then configure the connector to stay under the agreed threshold. For high-traffic instances we use event-driven webhooks where Charisma supports them.
- How long does the Charisma connector implementation take?
- Typically 4–6 weeks from kick-off to first flow in production. Includes audit, partner+items+chart of accounts mapping, history sync, a 2–3 week parallel pilot and go-live with 7-day monitoring. Multi-company or complex customizations add 1–2 weeks.
- Do we have to change our existing TotalSoft partner?
- No. The Azuvio connector doesn't conflict with your TotalSoft partner — we only use the official APIs, we don't modify Charisma. Your partner stays on accounting, finance and reporting. We add operations on top.
- Who issues e-invoices — Azuvio or Charisma?
- You decide with us. Most common case: Azuvio generates the invoice at dispatch and sends it directly to the national e-invoicing system, then passes it to Charisma for accounting evidence only. Alternative: Charisma generates and sends, and Azuvio just receives the confirmation.
- Does the connector support multiple companies in Charisma?
- Yes, natively. We map each Charisma company to an Azuvio entity, with separate charts of accounts, currencies and price structures. Orders, invoices and payments hit the correct company without manual intervention.
- What happens if Charisma has downtime or an update?
- The Azuvio connector queues all operations during downtime, with no data loss. When Charisma comes back, operations are resent in chronological order. For planned updates you get advance notice and we can switch temporarily to degraded mode.
- Can we start with just partner/item sync and add the rest later?
- Yes, that's the standard recommended approach for enterprise deployment. We start read-only (partners + items + price structures) — zero risk on Charisma. After 2–3 stable weeks we add write (orders, then invoices, then payments).
- How much does the Charisma connector cost separately from Azuvio?
- The Charisma connector is included in the standard Azuvio subscription (from €12/user/month) — you don't pay separately. The incremental cost is only the implementation scoping (5–10 consultant days), presented as a fixed quote after the audit. No per-call license, no variable fee.
