Context
e-Factura ANAF (the Romanian tax authority's system) has been mandatory for B2B since 2024. While Pluriva offers native SPV integration, validation errors occur frequently. Here are the top 10 most common issues.
1. Invalid VAT ID or missing RO prefix
Pluriva validates data during partner creation, but you must explicitly verify the RO prefix for VAT payers.
2. Missing CPV code on line items for public procurement
Set a default CPV code for each item in the product nomenclature.
3. Mixed VAT rates
Each line must have the correct rate (19%, 9%, 5%, 0%). Check the VAT matrix assigned to the item.
4. Missing framework contract reference
For invoices issued under a contract, add the contract number and series to the header.
5. Delivery address ≠ Billing address
Set both explicitly. Pluriva populates the UBL 2.1 XML correctly only if these fields are completed.
6. Resubmitting after rejection
Pluriva maintains the history. Correct the error, regenerate, and resubmit — all within the UI without manual exports.
7. Incorrect reversal (Credit Note)
A reversal must reference the original invoice with its full number/series. Use the dedicated function rather than a manual negative invoice.
8. Central Bank exchange rates for foreign currency
Configure daily automatic updates. The exchange rate from the date of issuance is mandatory.
9. Aggregated discount instead of per-line discount
Per-line discounts are mandatory. Do not aggregate them into the invoice total.
10. Non-UCUM Units of Measure
Exclusively use UCUM codes (kg, m, H87 for pieces). Custom codes will result in rejection.
